Orbitz.com is a travel fare listing website. The Orbitz.com is owned by Orbitz Worldwide, Inc., based in Citigroup Center, Chicago, Illinois. They allow their customers to search for and book a wide range of hotels, flights, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages, and destination activities. The company has been in operation since 2001, but on September 29, 2004, Orbitz was acquired by New York City-based Cendant Corporation.

However, in order to compete with the growing competitor, Priceline, the Orbitz company has been acquired by Expedia for $1.2 billion last February 2015. Moreover, the company also allows their customers to pay using Affirm as an alternative and convenient method for payment for hotels and/or vacation packages. However, one must take note that they should have a good credit score to become eligible with Affirm. You need to book online with the Pay Now option and sign up for monthly installment payments through Affirm. You will be directed to sign up on Affirm’s website, then directed back to Orbitz to finish your booking.

Some Orbtiz hotels will give you the option to reserve your booking with a deposit and then pay the remainder later when you get to the hotel. The deposit amount varies by hotel, but will be indicated at the time of your booking. You will then pay the remainder amount to the hotel directly when you check-in or check-out.
